Terms
What you agree to when you use Tellwhen. How we handle your data is on the privacy page.
What Tellwhen does
You tell us by email what you’re waiting for. We watch news sites, feeds, web search results and pages that fit your request, including any you name, and email you when something new comes up that matches what you asked for. You change or stop it by replying in plain words. It’s free for now.
Using it
- Set up alerts for yourself, from your own email address.
- Don’t use Tellwhen to follow private individuals or to harass anyone. We don’t set up alerts that follow private individuals, and we may turn off any alert used to harass someone.
- Don’t try to overload the service or get around its limits on alerts and emails.
What we can’t promise
- Alerts are written by AI from public sources. One can arrive late, miss something, be out of date or get a detail wrong, so check the sources in each email before you act on it.
- Nothing we send is financial, legal or career advice.
- Tellwhen comes as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from relying on our emails or from the service being unavailable.
Ending it
Reply “stop” to an alert email to pause that alert, or “stop all” to turn everything off. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may change or end the service. If these terms change, this page will too.
Who runs it
Tellwhen is a product, not a company. It’s made and run by Zanwen Fu in San Francisco, California, and California law governs these terms.
