Privacy
Tellwhen works entirely by email. This page says what we keep, why, and for how long.
What we keep
- Your email address.
- The emails you send us and our replies, so we can follow what you asked for.
- Your alerts, the news we found for them, and the alerts we sent you.
How long
- News stories we find are deleted after 10 days.
- Our working logs are deleted after 60 days.
- Replying “stop all” turns all your alerts off but keeps them, so you can turn them back on later.
Deleting your data
To delete your data, reply “delete my data” to any email from Tellwhen, or send it to alerts@mail.tellwhen.app. We’ll ask you to confirm. Reply “delete everything” within 7 days and we erase your alerts and every email between us, including the copies at our email provider. We keep only the short note telling you it’s done.
What we won’t do
- We only act on email whose sender’s provider confirms it’s genuine. A message with a forged sender is ignored, so nobody can sign you up.
- We don’t set up alerts that follow private individuals: only companies, topics and well-known public figures.
- We never send you pages from people-search or background-check sites.
Unsubscribing
Reply “stop all” to any email from us to turn everything off, or “stop” to an alert email to pause just that alert. Please don’t use your email app’s Unsubscribe button: it makes our mail provider block every email to you, including our reply, and only its support team can undo that.
Who helps us run it
Tellwhen runs on Anthropic’s Claude (through Amazon Bedrock), AgentMail, Firecrawl and Supabase.
Contact
Write to hello@tellwhen.app. It goes to a person, not the AI. To change or stop your alerts, reply to any email from us instead.
